So they can't even get the thing to download lol.2. That tells you EVERYTHING you need to know about how it's not really a more accessible server, because that accessibility comes with terms and conditions there too.ĭon't help the download won't open for a lot of people even with the firewall turned off it just Wont pop up. Most of the people who moved there did so only because they had connections to already established accounts, and have said they wouldn't have played there otherwise (and/or were banned on Aeria and can't leave their addiction due to sunk cost fallacy). It is also even more dead than Aeria, so if you're not already established with friends to group with and on end game gearing, good luck getting anywhere casually. The reason is, regardless of which gives better access to what (and it's more of a mixed bag really rather than Aeria being entirely worse), the fundamental difference is the barrier of entry to end game is so much higher there. Originally posted by Illusion of Progress:Regarding that "other" server, it is interestingly more grindy to progress there than it is on Aeria, despite originally having the reputation of being more casual friendly/accessible. This is why the issue isn't who is hosting/publishing it but rather the underlying game as developed by X-Legends. Years ago, that server also had players leaving, a commonly cited reason being it was becoming less casual and more grind. That's why I mentioned the core problem isn't Aeria but that this just isn't a casual MMO anymore, and when I said that applies to every iteration that exists, I meant it, and sort of specifically for that "other" server. Regarding that "other" server, it is interestingly more grindy to progress there than it is on Aeria, despite originally having the reputation of being more casual friendly/accessible. It's because it went from a casual MMO to a grindy gacha and this is the case in EVERY iteration of it that exists today regardless of who publishes/hosts it. Sure, they monetize it to high Heaven and back (so does X-Legends in the original), but the underlying game itself as developed by X-Legends is where are the real reasons to avoid it today stem from not Gamigo and not an as expected low population for a seven year old game. The issues with the game aren't even because of of Gamigo or Aeria. These updates are carried over to this version, albeit a little over a year behind as the game originally launched around a year behind the original. Other regions have other companies that have picked up contracts with X-legends to localize (and monetize) the game for those other regions. However, X-Legends does not release the game into other regions themselves. The game itself is called Fantasy Frontier in it's original form and as released in Taiwan, and it is developed and still updated by X-Legends.
